Valeria Galetto is an experienced educator in mindfulness and meditation, currently serving as a Facilitating Teacher at the Barre Center for Buddhist Studies since October 2022, where facilitation of the Satipaṭṭhāna Meditation course occurs. Valeria holds multiple positions at the University of California, San Francisco, including MBSR Instructor for the Spanish-speaking community and Mindfulness Instructor for cancer recovery programs. As an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Samuel Merritt University, instruction in "Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and the Neuroscience of Change" is provided. Valeria is also a Certified MBSR Teacher with extensive experience leading programs in Spanish and English across various organizations, including Kara and El Camino Hospital. Academic credentials include a PhD in International Development from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an MA in Social Anthropology from Universidad Iberoamericana, and a BA in Social Communication from Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, complemented by certifications in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction from UMass Chan Medical School and other relevant coursework at Stanford University.
