Fernando Mendoza

Fernando Mendoza has a diverse range of work experience in the fields of human resources, organization development, and leadership training. Fernando has held various leadership roles in different companies throughout their career.

Starting with their most recent role, Fernando currently serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Barri Financial Group. Prior to that, they were the Chief People & Culture Officer at Buy Box Experts.

From 2010 to 2021, Fernando worked at MODEC, Inc. as the Chief Human Resources Officer & VP. In this role, they led the global human resources strategy for a group of companies and provided strategic HR consultancy to the CEO and division executives. Fernando implemented various talent development systems, such as recruiting, training and development, performance management, and succession planning.

Before MODEC, Inc., Fernando worked at Weatherford as the Global Manager for Training and Organization Development from 2006 to 2010. In this role, they designed and delivered organization development interventions globally and developed leadership development competencies for the entire organization.

Prior to their time at Weatherford, Fernando was employed at Baker Hughes as the Learning and Development Manager for Latin America in 2006. Fernando developed a career development strategy, re-designed existing training programs, and partnered with operations to improve training effectiveness and reduce costs.

From 2004 to 2006, Fernando held the position of Vice President in the Workforce Development Services Division at Congreso de Latinos Unidos, a non-profit organization. In this role, they managed all division operations and finances and implemented best practices to increase performance and budget.

Fernando also has experience as a self-employed director and owner of an organization development, human resources, and leadership training consultancy from 2003 to 2004. Fernando provided management and coaching programs for clients globally and helped organizations develop and implement HR policies.

Furthermore, Fernando worked at Schlumberger and Baker Hughes earlier in their career. At Schlumberger -- WesternGeco, they served as an Area Manager, implementing training and development strategies for merged organizations and designing interventions for mergers and acquisitions. At Baker Hughes -- Western Geophysical, they were a Global Sr. Training Instructor and Global Training Instructor, developing and facilitating leadership and management development programs globally.

Overall, Fernando Mendoza has extensive experience in human resources, organization development, and leadership training in various industries and has held leadership positions at national and global levels.

Fernando Mendoza obtained a Bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University, which they attended from 1991 to 1994. Fernando then pursued a Master's degree from Harvard University, although the specific duration of their enrollment is unknown. In terms of certifications, Fernando received a Certified Professional Transformational Coach - Advanced Level from Coach Masters Academy in April 2021. Fernando also holds an Organization Development Certification from NTL Institute, obtained in May 2008, as well as an MBTI Trainer certification from OKA (Otto Kroeger Associates), obtained in March 1999. In October 2020, Fernando became a Certified Transformational Coach through Coach Masters Academy.
