Alexandra Almenara

Alexandra Almenara currently serves as the Head of Sustainability for Latin America and Asia Pacific at Barrick Gold Corporation since October 2023. With extensive experience in sustainability leadership, Alexandra previously held roles such as Vice President of Sustainability at Ausenco and General Manager at SNC-Lavalin, where responsibilities included managing significant teams and driving growth in environmental and social sectors. Alexandra is also a founding member of Líderes Impulsando un Desarrollo Sostenible and served as President of the Australia Peru Chamber of Commerce. Alexandra’s educational background includes a Master of Science in Conservation Biology and Sustainable Development from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an MBA from Tecnológico de Monterrey, and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia.
