Catherine Mori

Catherine Mori is an experienced librarian with a focus on youth services, currently serving as the Youth Services Librarian at Barrington Area Library since February 2023. Catherine has an extensive background in librarianship, including roles such as Librarian/Historian for the Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago & Northwest Indiana, Youth Librarian at Glen Ellyn Public Library, and Youth Services Librarian at Glenside Public Library District. Additional experience includes serving as a District Librarian in Queen Bee School District 16 and as a School Librarian at Marist Brothers International School, where significant improvements in library circulation were achieved. Catherine's career began as a Young Adult Librarian at Indian Prairie Public Library, and earlier, as a Language Teacher at Yokohama YMCA. Catherine holds a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science and a Bachelor's Degree in English, both from Dominican University.
