Kristi Smith

Kristi Smith is an experienced librarian and educator with a diverse background in youth services, cataloging, and library management. Currently serving as a Youth Services Librarian at Live Oak Public Libraries since June 2022, Kristi plans and evaluates programs for youth and oversees afterschool activities for local students. Previous roles include Pre Kindergarten Teacher with Savannah-Chatham County Public School System, Resource Description Librarian at Georgia Southern University, and various positions at Savannah College of Art and Design, where responsibilities encompassed supervision, cataloging, and managing library operations. Kristi's early career included experience as an Office Manager at Southeastern Medical Equipment Company. Academic qualifications include a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Georgia State University.
