Sam Hood Adrain is a Co-Founder and current Co-Artistic Director of What Will the Neighbors Say? Theatre Company, where production of 11 original plays across 6 cities in 4 countries has taken place, along with co-presenting 24 new works and creating jobs for over 200 artists, with a focus on diverse representation. Currently serving as an Adjunct Faculty member at Marymount Manhattan College, Sam co-teaches a course on source-based and documentary theater making. As a Playwright Mentor with Barrington Stage Company, Sam guides young artists in creating meaningful theater pieces. The role as Workshop Coordinator for Spannocchia Writers' Workshop involves managing all logistics for a week-long writing workshop. Additionally, Sam works as a Fundraising Consultant for Chickenshed NYC and as a Festival Coordinator for FRIGID New York, connecting artists and organizers. Sam has also been an Outbound Fundraiser for MCC Theater and previously held an adjunct lecturer position at CUNY Queens College. Sam's experience is complemented by acting credentials with SAG-AFTRA and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama from New York University.
