Lonny served as the Senior Director of Marketing at Barron's Educational Series from 1997 to the present. Prior to that, they were the Marketing Director for Brady Books at Simon and Schuster from 1991 to 1993. From 1987 to 1991, Lonny Stein worked as a Marketing Manager at John Wiley & Sons. Lonny began their career as a Product Manager at Springer-Verlag from 1982 to 1987.

Lonny Stein attended Syracuse University from 1971 to 1975, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.
