Sonja Frommenwiler

Sonja Frommenwiler currently serves as the Global Head of Responsible Sourcing at Barry Callebaut Group, having previously held the role of Sustainability Manager EMEA and Sourcing Manager for Special Ingredients. In these positions, Sonja defines and executes sustainability strategies for various ingredients in the EMEA region and oversees the global flavor portfolio. Prior experience includes serving as the International Purchasing Manager for Fruits & Vegetables at Migros-Genossenschafts-Bund, where responsibilities included the strategic acquisition of produce for the Swiss market. Additional roles span consulting in community-based tourism in Myanmar, marketing assistance for a technology startup, and various hospitality and customer service positions. Sonja holds a Master's degree in International Management from Hochschule für Wirtschaft FHNW and a Bachelor's degree in International Hospitality Management from Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne, as well as a Certificate in Business Sustainability Management from the University of Cambridge.
