Summer Dow

Summer Dow currently serves as Special Counsel at Barry Nilsson since December 2025. Prior to this role, Summer held various positions at DLA Piper from March 2010 to November 2025, culminating in the role of Senior Associate and also served as a Solicitor. Summer's experience includes a part-time secondment as a Senior Lawyer at Suncorp Group, where responsibilities involved covering maternity leave while managing a personal practice. Summer started as a Graduate Solicitor at Holman Webb from February 2008 to March 2010 and began a legal career as a Paralegal at Herbert Smith Freehills from October 1999 to February 2005. Summer completed a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the University of Technology Sydney in 2008, following a degree from the University of Technology Sydney from 2002 to 2007 and an earlier education at the University of Cambridge from 1996 to 1999.
