Dee Nickerson has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Dee started as a Programmer at Lomas & Nettleton in 1985 and then moved on to work as a Programmer Analyst II/III at the University of North Texas from 1988 to 1991. After that, Dee worked as a Manager at Technology Specialists, Inc. in 1991, followed by the role of Lead Programmer Analyst at Manor Care, Inc. from 1992 to 1997.

In 1998, Dee joined Bart & Associates, Inc. as the Managing Director of PeopleSoft Practice. In this role, Dee was responsible for project management and oversight on multi-million dollar Federal Government contracts. Dee worked closely with clients and partnered with Oracle PeopleSoft to provide the best resources for the projects. Dee also spoke as a panelist at the Quest Reconnect 2016, sharing insights on the HCM 9.2 upgrade performed at the U.S.

Dee Nickerson, PMP CSM SAFe Agilist, obtained a B.B.A. degree in Business Computer Info Systems (BCIS) from the University of North Texas, where they studied from 1981 to 1985. These include the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, which they received in June 2009. Dee also holds the Certified Scrum Master certification from the Scrum Alliance, which they obtained in February 2018. Dee Nickerson is further certified as a SAFe Agilist, with certifications in SAFe 4 Agilist, SAFe 5 Agilist, and SAFe 6 Agilist, all obtained from Scaled Agile, Inc. Dee'sSAFe 4 Agilist certification was received in August 2019, while their SAFe 5 Agilist and SAFe 6 Agilist certifications were acquired in August 2023.
