Henry Symons

Henry Symons is a seasoned professional in government and community relations, currently serving as the Principal Government and Community Relations Representative for BART since January 2022, after a tenure as Senior Government and Community Relations Representative. Prior experience includes roles as Legislative Liaison for the California Department of Transportation and District Representative for the California State Assembly. Henry Symons also contributed to the successful passage of a library bond as Field Director for Yes on El Cerrito Library and managed a $2.5 million grant program at CREDO Mobile. Earlier experience encompasses grassroots organizing for the Virginia League of Conservation Voters and environmental organizing with Green Corps. Henry Symons holds a Master’s Degree in Water: Science and Governance from King's College London and a BA in Environmental Studies and Politics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
