Jeana Zelan

Jeana Zelan is an experienced legal professional currently serving as General Counsel at BART since October 2008, overseeing a team of twelve attorneys and managing legal services for a public agency. Jeana held positions as Interim General Counsel and Associate General Counsel at BART, with a focus on employment and labor law, ethics compliance, and public contracting. Prior to BART, experience includes serving as a law clerk for Honorable William Schwarzer at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and working as a litigation associate at Folger Levin & Kahn LLP. Jeana earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude in Government from Connecticut College.
