Karthika Kandala

Karthika Kandala is an accomplished dental professional currently serving as a Research Assistant at Access Dental Care since May 2019, focusing on expanding teledentistry for individuals with special healthcare needs. With experience as a General Practice Resident at Atrium Health from July 2021 to June 2022, Karthika received advanced training in various dental fields and managed care for medically compromised patients. Previous research roles include working under Dr. Greg Matera at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and assisting in orthodontic research at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. Karthika holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is pursuing a Master of Public Health at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Educational background also includes a Bachelor of Science in Biology with additional studies in Global Studies and Hindi-Urdu.
