Alan Todd has a diverse range of work experience in the architecture and construction industry. Alan started their career as a Draftsman at Rawlings Wilson & Associates in 1997 and worked there until 2007. From 2004 to 2007, they worked as an Intern Architect at The Architects Alliance, Inc. Alan then moved on to FOX Architects and served as a Staff Architect from 2007 to 2010. After that, they joined OTJ Architects as a Project Architect/BIM Manager from 2010 to 2011. Following their time at OTJ Architects, they worked at Baskervill as a BIM Manager from 2011 to 2014. Since 2014, Alan has been associated with Barton Malow, where they have held various roles including Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Manager, Senior VDC Manager, and Director of Engineering Automation. Currently, Alan is the Director of Business Transformation at Barton Malow.
Alan Todd completed their education at Virginia Tech, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design in 2003 and a Master's degree in Architecture in 2007. Alan also obtained several additional certifications, including Revit Architecture Certified Professional from Autodesk in November 2018 and LEED AP BD+C from the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) in 2008. Alan is also a Registered Architect in the state of Virginia.
