Alaina Gilligo currently serves as the Vice President for Operations and Administration at Baruch College, overseeing administrative, operational, and fiscal functions since August 2023. Concurrently, Alaina is a Board Member at Manhattan Neighborhood Network and previously held the position of Senior Project Executive at Gilbane Building Company. Between 2014 and 2021, Alaina was the First Deputy Comptroller for the NYC Office of the Comptroller, managing a large office with a significant operating budget and assets, while focusing on budgets, reforms, and policy initiatives. Alaina also served as Chief of Staff for the Office of the Manhattan Borough President from 2006 to 2013 and has held board positions with New York Hall of Science and New York City Economic Development Corporation. The extensive background in public policy was further developed as Director of Public Policy & Communications for the New York State Assembly. Alaina holds a Bachelor’s degree from Barnard College and a Master of Public Administration from NYU Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
