Adrián Riesco Valbuena

Adrián Riesco Valbuena has a diverse range of work experience. Adrián started their career as a Summer Scholarship in the VARP research group at the University of León in 2018, where they developed an AI model to classify text and published a research paper. Adrián then joined KPMG Spain as a Cybersecurity Consultant, where they identified weaknesses in processes, implemented dashboards, and reviewed cloud security frameworks for different companies. With KPMG Canada, they worked as a Senior Cybersecurity Consultant, developing Python scripts for automating data collection and creating dashboards in Microsoft Power BI. Adrián also conducted IT assessments and audits for a Canadian bank, strengthened cybersecurity strategy, and advised on risk reduction. Finally, they currently hold a position with BASE life science as a Data Engineer, starting in 2023.

Adrián Riesco Valbuena's education history is as follows:

Adrián completed a Master's Degree in Business Intelligence and Big Data in Secure Environments at the Universidad de León from 2020 to 2022. The focus of this degree was in the field of Big Data.

Prior to that, from 2016 to 2018, Adrián pursued a degree in Ingeniería Informática at the same university.

Before their degree in Ingeniería Informática, Adrián completed a degree in Ingeniería Electrónica, Industrial y Automática at the Universidad de León from 2012 to 2016.

Additionally, in 2014 and 2015, Adrián attended the Warsaw University of Technology, where they studied Electronic, Industrial, and Automatic Engineering.
