Youwei Chen

Youwei Chen is an AI scientist and Data Scientist Intern at Perimeter Medical Imaging AI, involved in research and development for Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) image reconstruction, collaborating with the Servier Virtual Cardiac Centre. Chen has designed deep learning methods and optimization algorithms using generative AI on Google Cloud Services, focusing on image denoising, sharpness enhancement, and super-resolution techniques. Additionally, Chen holds Graduate Research Assistant Fellowships at both the University of Alberta and Alberta Health Services, specializing in medical image analysis and artificial intelligence applications. Chen's educational background includes a Master of Science in medical science (Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging) and a Bachelor of Science in computing science from the University of Alberta, along with experience in developing machine learning models for medical diagnostics.
