Gemima Carneiro Morais

Gemima Carneiro Morais has a diverse work experience in the field of clinical research and scientific research. Gemima began their career in 2014 as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at Universitat de Barcelona, where they conducted a study on the possible interaction between a toxin and a potassium channel in the onset of multiple sclerosis. Gemima then worked as an Assistant Research Scientist at LEITAT Technological Center, focusing on monoclonal antibodies. In 2017, they became a Scientific Researcher in the field of Regenerative Medicine at Universitat Internacional de Catalunya. Gemima later joined ICON plc as a Clinical Trial Assistant, where they gained experience in clinical trials. In 2021, they worked as an In-House Clinical Research Associate at Advanced Clinical and then as a Clinical Research Associate I at PPD. Currently, they hold the position of Clinical Consultant - R&D at BASE life science.

Gemima Carneiro Morais completed their education in a chronological manner. Gemima began their educational journey in 2011 at the Universitat de Barcelona, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biomedical Science. Gemima successfully completed this degree in 2015.

Following their bachelor's degree, Gemima continued their education at the Universitat de Barcelona. In 2015, they enrolled in a Master of Science (MSc) program in Molecular Biotechnology, which they completed in 2016.

In addition to their academic degrees, Gemima Carneiro Morais also obtained several certifications. In September 2015, they completed the "Curso para la capacitación del personal usuario de animales de experimentación (B+C+D)" from the Generalitat de Catalunya. This certification demonstrates their competence in working with experimental animals.

Furthermore, Gemima holds the certification of "Certified SAFe® 5 Practitioner" from Scaled Agile, Inc., which they obtained in February 2023. This certification signifies their proficiency in implementing the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) in an enterprise context.

Lastly, Gemima completed the "Vault Platform Associate Administrator - 2023" certification from Veeva Training Services in January 2023. This certification indicates their expertise in the administration of the Vault Platform, a content and data management platform used in the life sciences industry.
