Alex Berke

Alex Berke is currently an advisor at Base Operations. Prior to that, they held various positions at In-Q-Tel, Dataminr, and EY. Alex has also worked as a foreign manager at Aston English Inc.

At In-Q-Tel, Berke served as the Senior Director of Mission Partnerships and the Director of Intelligence Community Support. In their role as the Director of Intelligence Community Support, they were responsible for managing relationships between IQT and the Intelligence Community. Alex also worked closely with government partners to test, evaluate, and transition innovative technologies to support their most critical national security missions.

At Dataminr, Berke served as the Head of Homeland Security Partnerships and Engagements and the Client Solutions Manager for the Public Sector. In their role as the Head of Homeland Security Partnerships and Engagements, they led Dataminr's business development and partnerships with Department of Homeland Security organizations and other federal civilian agencies. Dataminr is the leading real time situational awareness and indications and warnings solution for news, corporate security and government organizations. By transforming the entire public Twitter feed and other social media datasets into actionable alerts, Dataminr allows government organizations and leaders to respond more quickly and effectively to crises. Dataminr delivers the earliest warning of emergent events, non-traditionally sourced content, and emerging trends.

Berke also served as a Senior - Cyber Economics at EY for 4 months.

Prior to their work in the private sector, Berke served as a Foreign Manager at Aston English Inc. for 2 years 2 months.

Alex Berke has a Master of International Politics from American University, where they focused on transnational crime and corruption. Alex also has a B.A. in International Affairs from The George Washington University.
