Alysson Franklin has an extensive work experience in the field of user experience and information architecture. Alysson held the position of Head of Design Studio, User Experience and Information Architecture at Base22 LLC since 2016. In this role, they were responsible for the strategy and delivery of information architecture and user experience solutions, as well as supporting capability development and leading digital transformation projects.
Prior to Base22 LLC, Alysson was a founding member of the W3C Brazil Accessibility Workgroup from 2012 to 2020. In this role, they contributed to improving the accessibility community in Brazil and supported the implementation of accessibility projects.
Alysson also served as the Country Coordinator for The Information Architecture Institute from 2014 to 2019, where they were responsible for organizing the World Information Architecture Day event in Mexico City and promoting the establishment of IA chapters in Mexico.
Alysson's experience also includes roles at IBM Interactive Experience, Netshoes, IBM Global Business Services, IBM, Koolbanana Media Agency, and various government organizations in Brazil. In these roles, they held positions such as Delivery Manager, User Experience Director, Head of User Experience, Web Competency Manager, and Front-End Engineer, contributing to the development of UI and UX strategies, managing teams, and providing HR support and career guidance.
Throughout their career, Alysson has demonstrated expertise in user research, market research, qualitative and quantitative methods, and web technologies. Alysson has a strong background in web standards, accessibility, and usability, and has actively contributed to the UX and IA communities in Brazil.
Alysson Franklin, UXMC, has a diverse education history. Alysson received a Bachelor's Degree in Audio Visual Technology from Universidade Paulista in 2008. In 2003, they obtained another Bachelor's Degree in Business from Faculdade Pitágoras. In 2012, they pursued a Specialization in Interaction Design, Usability, Accessibility, Data Visualization, Sociology, Culture, and Adaptation from Faber-Ludens Institute. Alysson further expanded their knowledge by completing a Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, General from Estácio in 2014. In 2016, Alysson completed a Specialization in Interaction Design with a focus on Interaction Design at UC San Diego. Additionally, Alysson has obtained several certifications, including a UX Master Certification from Nielsen Norman Group in 2015 and various certifications in digital marketing and web development from IBM and Microsoft. Most recently, Alysson obtained certifications in Shopify business fundamentals and semantic web training.
