Georgi Bonev

Georgi Bonev is a seasoned professional in the agricultural sector with extensive experience in crop marketing and management. Currently serving as Director Global Crop System Rice and APA Regional Lead Rice at BASF since July 2016, Georgi is responsible for the development and implementation of regional crop strategies. Prior to BASF, Georgi held various positions at Bayer CropScience from January 2007 to June 2016, including Commercial Marketing Manager for SeedGrowth and Fungicides, where significant business growth was achieved through strategic marketing initiatives. Georgi also managed the Poncho insecticide product line, realizing a notable sales increase over four years. Earlier career achievements include leading marketing integration efforts at Bayer Bulgaria Ltd. and serving as Area Business Manager at Aventis CropScience. Georgi holds an MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management and a Master’s degree in Agricultural Engineering from Agricultural University, Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
