Leonor Ardiles is an experienced professional in the mining and chemical industries, currently serving as a New Business Development Specialist Coordinator at BASF since 2011, where innovation is a key focus. Leonor is an active member and partner at WOMEN IN MINING CHILE, contributing to the organization's initiatives since January 2021. Additionally, Leonor is a member of the Technical Committee of Hydroprocess at Gecamin and has previously held the position of Technical Consultant at Cognis, specializing in leaching, solvent extraction, and electro-winning projects for mining. Between 1998 and 2001, Leonor worked as a Process Engineer in the SX-EW area at Compañía Minera Xstrata Lomas Bayas. Leonor holds a Licenciatura en Química with a specialization in extractive metallurgy from Universidad Católica del Norte, a civil engineering degree in Metallurgy from Universidad Arturo Prat, and has continued education in green hydrogen solutions. Furthermore, Leonor has completed postgraduate studies in Environmental Management at Universidad Católica del Norte.
