Peter Zaman

Peter Zaman was born in Antwerp, Belgium, in 1968. He trained as an automotive mechanic and joined BASF Antwerpen N.V. in 1990 as a machine operator. After further internal training, he worked as a plant operator in the chlorine plant. Between 2000 and 2007, Zaman worked for Solvin N.V., a joint venture between BASF and Solvay. Since 2007, he has worked for the joint venture BASF DOW HPPO Production B.V. Zaman joined the works council of BASF Antwerpen N.V. in 2000 and has been a part-time works council member since 2017.

Zaman has been a member of the BASF Supervisory Board since April 29, 2022, and his mandate terminates upon conclusion of the Annual Shareholders’ Meeting 2024.
