Robert Runyon has had a diverse range of work experiences in various roles and positions. Robert started their career in 2011 as a Teacher at the American Language School in Japan, where they taught students, created lessons, and assisted in administrative tasks. In 2012, they worked as a Freelance Writer for Barnes & Noble. From 2012 to 2016, they joined Embassy English, initially as a Teacher and Activity Leader, then progressing to Associate Program Manager, and eventually assuming the role of Student Services Manager and Designated School Official. In 2016, Robert joined BASIS Independent Brooklyn as a Registrar and later became an Associate Director of Admissions. In 2017, they transitioned to BASIS Independent Schools, serving as the Director of Admissions and later as the Director of Academic Programs. Since 2021, Robert has held the position of Associate Head of School at BASIS Independent Schools.

Robert Runyon's education history includes obtaining a Master of Science (MS) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education. Robert attended this school from an unknown start year until 2024.
