John Quirk is an experienced educational leader with a strong background in school administration. Currently serving as the Executive Head of School at BASIS International Schools at Park Lane Harbour since November 2021, John previously held the position of Chief Instructional Officer at BASIS International Schools - China from January 2021 to November 2021. From July 2012 to June 2020, John was the CEO/Head of School at Tabor Academy, and prior to that, served as the Associate Head for School Affairs at Brooks School from August 1987 to June 2012. John Quirk holds a Master's degree in Education and Philosophy from UMass Boston (2003-2008) and a Bachelor's degree in Classics and Classical Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics from Dickinson College (1984-1989). John's educational journey began at St. Mark's School, where attendance occurred from 1980 to 1984.

BASIS International Schools is a part of the BASIS Curriculum network of schools in the United States and worldwide. The first BASIS International School opened in Shenzhen, China in 2015 as the largest opening of an international school in south China history. Our network of schools continues to expand with BASIS International School Guangzhou opening in 2017, BASIS International School Park Lane Harbour and Hangzhou in 2018, BASIS International School Nanjing and BASIS International School Bangkok in 2019. The first bilingual school in our network opened in September 2020: BASIS Bilingual School Shenzhen. Our network is rapidly growing and future schools will be opening in coming years.
