Scott Adams

Scott Adams currently serves as the Executive Head of School at BASIS International Schools since August 2023. Prior to this role, Scott held the position of Director General at Country Day School, a Nord Anglia Education School, from July 2017 to July 2022. Scott's extensive experience in educational leadership includes roles such as Head of Middle School at The American School in Japan, Heathwood Hall Episcopal School, TASIS The American School in England, and Charlotte Country Day School. Additionally, Scott was Assistant Middle School Principal at Carpinteria Middle School and Assistant Elementary Principal at Chatham County Schools. Earlier in the career, Scott was Head of the English Department at The American International School in Cyprus and a High School English Teacher at Punahou School. Academically, Scott holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Master's Degree in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Arts in English with minors in Spanish and Linguistics from San Diego State University.
