Javier Burgués

Javier Burgués is an experienced professional in digitalization and process modeling, currently serving as the Digitalization & Process Modelling Manager at BASQUEVOLT since March 2023, focusing on the digitalization of lithium battery manufacturing processes. Prior to this role, Javier worked as the Technical Lead R&D at ScioSense, overseeing the development of environmental sensing solutions. A background in research includes positions at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) as a Postdoctoral Researcher and PhD candidate, specializing in chemical sensors and drone technology. Javier's earlier experience includes algorithm development for UAVs at Smartplane Inc., hardware and software engineering at GMV, and research on biometric recognition systems at ATVS. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and a PhD in Engineering and Applied Sciences from the Universitat de Barcelona.
