Kristen Yates-Matthews

Kristen Yates-Matthews has a diverse and extensive work experience. Kristen started their career in 2000 at Monash Health, where they served in various roles such as Health Promotion Practitioner, Executive Officer, and Youth Health Officer. In 2012, they joined Bass Coast Shire Council as Community Planning & Policy and later became the Healthy Communities Initiative Coordinator. In 2018, they became the Executive Officer of the South Coast Primary Care Partnership. Currently, Kristen is the Director of Partnerships and Engagement at Bass Coast Health, a position they have held since 2022.

Kristen Yates-Matthews holds a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree from Deakin University, completed between 2003 and 2006. In 2005, they also completed a course in Social and Community Impact Assessment at the same university. Additionally, they obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Promotion from Deakin University from 2004 to 2005. In 2003 to 2004, Kristen completed a Graduate Diploma in Adolescent Health from Chisholm Institute. Kristen'searlier education includes a degree in Recreation Leadership from Victoria University, completed between 1993 and 1996. Kristen has also completed a Leadership Conservatory program from FOUR Leadership in 2018 and attained IAP2 Certification from the International Association of Public Participatio in 2017.
