Jim Arellanes

Jim Arellanes is an experienced educational leader currently serving as the School Principal at Bassett Unified School District since August 2021, after holding the position of Assistant Principal at the high school level. Prior to this role, Arellanes worked as an Educator in the Inglewood Unified School District from August 2018 to July 2021 and held several assistant principal positions at Burbank High School and Duarte High School between 2014 and 2018. Arellanes began the educational career as a teacher and head football coach in the Pasadena and Northview school districts, and has professional athletic experience in the NFL, NFL Europe, and the XFL. Educational qualifications include an Administrative Services Credential in Educational Leadership and Administration from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, a Master of Education from Whittier College, a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Corrections from California State University, Fresno, and an Associate of Arts from Los Angeles Valley College.
