Methila Deb

Methila Deb is a driven individual currently participating in the BASTA Fellowship, focusing on career preparation for first-generation college students, and also serves as a Fellow at ColorStack, where engagement in community-building activities for Black and Latinx computer science students occurs. Methila has experience as an Academic Tutor with CUNY Tutor Corps, improving high school students' algebra grades, and participated in the AT&T Technology Academy, earning a certification in key technology topics. Through a mentorship with Bloomberg, insights into financial markets and professional growth were gained. Methila's involvement in CUNY Tech Prep emphasizes advanced data science skills, while previous work as a STE(A)M Program Assistant at Beam Center enhanced students' critical thinking. Early experience includes customer service at Dunkin'. Methila holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Hunter College and a high school diploma from The Bronx High School of Science.
