Jochem Pronk is an accomplished scientist currently serving as a Scientist DSP at Batavia Biosciences since January 2019. Previously, Jochem worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at TU Delft's Bionanoscience department, focusing on developing new methods for preparing samples for cryo-electron microscopy and studying autophagosome formation. Jochem holds a PhD in Bionanoscience from Delft University of Technology, where the thesis centered on the trafficking mechanisms of aquaporin-2 through innovative cryo-EM sample preparation methods. Jochem's earlier experiences include roles in medical microbiology and electron microscopy at Leiden University Medical Center, along with experience in protein chemistry and kitchen assistance at Landal GreenParks. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Life Science & Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences from Leiden University.
