Remco Spanjaard

Remco Spanjaard has a diverse work experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. Remco has held various roles including CoFounder at Artemis Biosystems, Founder at Q-Ring, and Technical Business Development/SME & Lead Cell Line Generation at Batavia Biosciences. Remco has also worked as a Consultant for companies such as Xense, FemtoDx, BioVolutions, and more. Additionally, they have served as an Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at Boston University School of Medicine where they dedicated their research to cancer studies.

Remco Spanjaard completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry at Leiden University in the Netherlands from 1978 to 1982. Remco then obtained a Master of Science in Cell Biology and Biochemistry from the same university from 1982 to 1984. Finally, they completed their PhD in RNA structure and gene expression in bacteria at Leiden University from 1984 to 1989.
