Wilfried Bakker

Wilfried Bakker has extensive experience in the biotechnology industry. Wilfried started as a Postdoc at Universiteit Utrecht in 1995. Wilfried then held various roles at Diosynth Biotechnology/Merck, Crucell, and Sanquin before joining Intravacc in 2006. At Intravacc, they served as Program Manager for Polio and Viral Vaccines. In 2019, they transitioned to Batavia Biosciences as Scientific Director and later became the Director of Science and Innovation. Throughout their career, Wilfried has demonstrated expertise in vaccine development and program management.

Wilfried Bakker obtained their Master of Science degree in Food Science and Food and BioProcess Engineering from Wageningen University & Research in 1990. Wilfried later earned their Doctorate in Bioprocess Engineering from the same institution in 1995.
