Kim Hansen

Kim Hansen is currently the Director of Parks at Batavia Park District. Kim has previously worked as a Park Technician at Belvidere Park District from January 2002 to December 2004 and as a Park Specialist at Skokie Park District from January 1999 to December 2002.

Kim Hansen has a Master’s Degree in Environmental Policy from the University of Denver, a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Park Management from Western Illinois University, and certification from the National Recreation and Park Association as a Certified Park and Recreational Professional.

They are on a team with Brittany Meyer - Director of Community Recreation, Brent Strumpf - Director of Finance, and Josh Wyant - Director of Facilities & Trades. Some direct reports include Hector Perez - Park Technician, Alex Macias - Superintendent of Parks, and Dylan Thomas - Park Technician. Their manager is Allison Niemela, Executive Director.
