Nicholas S. Gonzalez serves as the Director of Parks & Recreation for the City of Palm Springs since December 2024. Prior to this role, Gonzalez held various positions in the City of Ontario from June 2011 to December 2024, including Recreation & Community Services Director and Community Life & Culture Officer, where responsibilities included administering economic development programs, managing public information efforts, and overseeing complex administrative projects. Gonzalez's early career involved roles in customer service and economic development, including internships and positions at Starbucks Coffee Company. Educational credentials include a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Marketing & Management and Leadership, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, both from the University of La Verne. Additionally, Gonzalez participated in the Municipal Management Association of Southern California in multiple leadership roles.
