Damian Rough is an Associate at Bates Smart. Damian has over 10 years of experience working in the commercial retail and residential sectors. Damian has worked on a variety of projects, including office buildings, retail centres, mixed-use developments and apartments.
Damian started their career as a Consultant Architect (Part 2) at Skidmore Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM) in 2006. Damian then moved to HOK in 2007 before joining Pascall + Watson Architects in 2007. Damian spent four years at Pascall + Watson, working on a number of high-profile projects, before moving to Peddle Thorp Melbourne Pty Ltd in 2012.
At Peddle Thorp, Damian has worked on a number of significant projects, including the David St Apartments, the Melton Council Offices and the Banyule City Council 'One Flintoff' Offices. Damian has also worked on a number of retail and mixed-use developments, such as the Carnegie Mixed-Use Retail & Apartment Project and the Yarra Ranges Council Chambers & Offices.
Damian Rough studied architecture at Deakin University and the University of Melbourne. Damian holds a B.Arch(Hons) B.A(Architecture) from Deakin University.
