Steve Jones

Steve is a highly experienced all-rounder who has worked internationally on a range of projects. His key strength is his ability to communicate effectively with clients to fully understand their needs. Steve works with a spectrum of specialist designers to develop strong, cohesive concept designs that achieve the clients’ desired outcomes, which he then sees through to completion.

Steve started his career with Denton Corker Marshall in Melbourne, working on several major projects, including 101 Collins Street, Melbourne Exhibition Centre and the Melbourne Museum. He then relocated to Warsaw, where he joined Aedas as a Director before moving to Aedas’ Hong Kong office in 2011, where he created a new residential interior design team.

In 2014, Steve returned to Melbourne and joined Bates Smart, working on a number of significant mixed-use projects. Steve’s exposure to a wide range of cultures helps him to understand the varying needs of clients, consultants and contractors and how to apply methods which allow the entire team to work together harmoniously, whilst delivering high quality design outcomes.
