Tammy Abshire, CFRE, has a wealth of experience in the field of fundraising and development. Tammy began their career in 2006 as the Director of Development for the LSU School of Social Work. In 2007, they moved to the LSU College of Engineering, Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, where they served as the Associate Director of Development & Communications. In 2011, they were promoted to Associate Director of Development & Stewardship for the LSU College of Engineering. In 2012, they joined the Diocese of Baton Rouge as the Executive Director of The Catholic Foundation of Baton Rouge and Director of Stewardship. In 2019, they were appointed Vice President of Advancement for the LSU Alumni Association, and in 2021, they were hired as the Director of Nonprofit Engagement and Senior Program Officer for the Baton Rouge Area Foundation.

Tammy Abshire, CFRE earned a Master of Social Work from Louisiana State University between 1998 and 2001 and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Louisiana State University between 1990 and 1995. Tammy obtained their Certified Fund Raising Executive certification from CFRE International in December 2010.
