Brandy Tyson-Polk

Brandy Tyson-Polk is an accomplished educator and entrepreneur with extensive experience in higher education and strategic partnerships. Currently, Brandy serves as the Owner and Director of Prep Academy Tutors and the Director of Strategic Partnerships at SLA Labs. Brandy has held various leadership roles at Baton Rouge Community College since January 2006, including Interim Executive Director for Adult & Corrections Education, Interim Assistant Vice Chancellor for Academic & Workforce Development, and Dean of Technical Education. In addition to these positions, Brandy is also an Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at both Baton Rouge Community College and River Parishes Community College. Brandy holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science from Louisiana State University, along with a Master of Science (MS) and Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science from Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College at Baton Rouge.
