Sahara Haney

Sahara Haney, Ed.D., serves as the Director of Digital Learning & Academic Support and an Adjunct Professor at Baton Rouge Community College since January 2021, where notable contributions include the development of a learning design process for the Liberal Arts division and teaching three courses each semester focused on young children and diverse educational settings. Previously, Sahara held various leadership roles within the East Baton Rouge Parish School System from December 2011 to February 2024, including Director of Instructional Technology and Coordinator of Instructional Technology, managing instructional technology deployment and professional development initiatives. Sahara's educational background includes a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Louisiana Monroe, a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Reading/Literacy and Academically Gifted from Louisiana State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Southeastern Louisiana University.
