Andrew Newman

Andrew Newman is a Senior Spent Fuel Management Policy Analyst at Idaho National Laboratory since February 2022. Prior to this role, Andrew served as Senior Director for Nuclear Fuel Cycle Activities and Senior Program Officer at the Nuclear Threat Initiative from February 2011 to January 2022, focusing on nuclear non-proliferation and material security. Additional positions include Senior Non-Resident Scholar at the Elliott School of International Affairs, Research Associate at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, and Assistant Counsellor for Nuclear Science & Technology at the Embassy of Australia. Andrew's academic credentials include a PhD in International Security and Nuclear Proliferation from Monash University, obtained from 1995 to 2001.
