Idaho National Laboratory
Gyanender Singh is a Modeling and Simulation Engineer at Idaho National Laboratory since August 2020. Previously, Gyanender served as a Research Scientist at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where significant work included predicting the thermo-mechanical behavior of SiC/SiC fuel cladding under in-reactor conditions and addressing performance issues in light water reactors. Gyanender has a solid foundation in advanced engineering concepts, having obtained a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, where early research encompassed finite element modeling for Very High Temperature Reactor (VHTR) components. Additionally, Gyanender contributed to academic settings as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and participated as a Summer Research Intern at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, focusing on mechanical behavior modeling of bones.
