Justin Yarrington

Justin Yarrington currently serves as Principal Investigator at the Idaho National Laboratory, focusing on fracture mechanics of nuclear reactor structural materials and nuclear fuels characterization. Prior experience includes roles as Nuclear Research Engineer, where innovative techniques for rodlet refabrication were developed, and Graduate Research Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Earlier, Yarrington worked as a Teaching Assistant in Fluid Mechanics and Heat Transfer at Brigham Young University - Idaho, and provided engineering support at Swagelok. Education includes a PhD in Nuclear Engineering from North Carolina State University (expected completion in 2027), a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University - Idaho.
