Kelly McCary is a Radiation Measurement Scientist and INL Graduate Fellow at Idaho National Laboratory, with experience dating back to August 2018. Prior to this role, Kelly served as a NEUP Graduate Student Research Fellow at The Ohio State University from September 2015 to August 2018, focusing on research in fiber optics and fiber optic sensors for nuclear applications. Additionally, Kelly undertook a Graduate Research Internship at Idaho National Laboratory in early 2017, researching fiber optic sensors for advanced nuclear reactors. Previous experiences include internships as a Student Engineer at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission and roles as a Student Grader and Research Assistant at The Ohio State University and the Ohio Emergency Management Agency, respectively. Kelly holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Nuclear Engineering from The Ohio State University, alongside a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics from the same institution.
