Matthew Lund

Matthew Lund is a Nuclear Safety Engineer at Idaho National Laboratory since August 2020, with prior experience as a Reactor Supervisor for the University of Utah's 100kW TRIGA reactor. Matthew has extensive expertise in nuclear engineering, having served as a Senior Reactor Operator and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Utah, where duties included radiation shielding research and multiphysics simulations of reactor designs. In the realm of education, Matthew has taught various physics courses and advised student clubs at Jordan School District. Additional experience includes internships at NASA and Idaho National Laboratory, along with leadership roles in theatrical lighting design and technology. Matthew holds multiple degrees in Physics and Nuclear Engineering, culminating in a Ph.D. from the University of Utah.
