Mauricio Tano

Mauricio Tano has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Mauricio is currently working as a Principal Investigator & R&D Scientist at Idaho National Laboratory. Prior to this, they were a Visiting Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University from 2019 to 2022. Mauricio also served as an International Engineer at SICTEC from 2010 to 2022. Mauricio has gained valuable experience as a European Level Trainee at EIT InnoEnergy from 2017 to 2019. Mauricio has also worked as a Post-doc / R&D Engineer at Laboratoire de Physique Subatomique et de Cosmologie (LPSC), where they focused on the development of multiphysics models for nuclear systems optimization and conducted research on benchmarking open-source CFD codes. Additionally, Mauricio has entrepreneurial experience, having served as the CEO of Connectome at Centerpriser from 2015 to 2019. Mauricio has also worked as a Guest Researcher at Grenoble Ecole de Management, contributing to the development of a financial analysis platform. Mauricio's work in project management and public relationships as a member of Programme Jeunes Ambassadeurs Rhône-Alpes showcases their versatile skills. Notably, they have also contributed as a Guest Scientist at Grenoble INP - LEPMI, working on improving the efficiency of electrolyzers for hydrogen production.

Mauricio Tano holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Nuclear Engineering from Grenoble INP - UGA, obtained from 2015 to 2018. Mauricio also earned a Doctor in Business Administration (DBA) in Financial Mathematics from Grenoble Ecole de Management and a Doctor in Business Administration in International Business from Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, both acquired from 2015 to 2021. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Engineering - MEng in Nuclear Engineering from Grenoble INP - UGA in 2014 and a Nuclear Engineer degree from Instituto Balseiro in 2011 to 2014. Mauricio has additional certifications in Competitive Intelligence and Technology Scouting, Patents, patentability and patent infringement, and IP commercialisation from KIC InnoEnergy S.E.
