Mitchell Kerman

Mitchell Kerman serves as the Director of Institutional Planning and Programs and leads the Systems Science & Engineering Division at Idaho National Laboratory, focusing on energy and environmental systems assessments and the sustainable recovery of subsurface energy resources. Kerman held the role of Director for Outreach at the International Council on Systems Engineering and was the Director of Program Development and Transition at Stevens Institute of Technology, emphasizing strategic communications and collaboration with various sectors. Prior experience includes serving as a Commander in the US Navy and holding multiple managerial positions at Lockheed Martin. Kerman’s educational background includes a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, an M.S. in Operations Research from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a B.S. in Computer Systems Engineering from Arizona State University.
