Nathan Woods

Nathan Woods is an accomplished Visualization Engineer at Idaho National Laboratory since August 2021, specializing in the development of BACL-Streamer, a cutting-edge computational fluid dynamics package. Previously, Nathan served as a Staff Scientist and Postdoctoral Researcher at Los Alamos National Laboratory from August 2015 to August 2021. Nathan's early career included a role as a Research Assistant at the University of Colorado Boulder from August 2008 to May 2015, where significant contributions were made in various research projects, including mentoring a Discovery Learning Apprentice. Nathan's internships at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center involved developing tools for infrared sensor fabrication and creating testing programs for nanoscale sensors. Nathan earned a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering Sciences from the University of Colorado Boulder, along with a B.S. in Physics from Brigham Young University.
