Courtney Woods is an experienced educator and regional math coordinator currently at Battelle for Kids since September 2012, previously serving in the same role at the CORE office from 2012 to 2015. Woods has extensive teaching experience, including positions at LCBOE as a 5th grade math and social studies teacher, 7th grade math teacher, and 8th grade Common Core coach, as well as roles at MCBOE teaching various grades and subjects, including 3rd grade and 8th grade science. In 2012, Woods also worked as an 8th grade coach for Common Core, facilitating training for educators and administrators through the Tennessee Department of Education. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Trevecca Nazarene University, a Master of Arts in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Walden University, and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Middle Tennessee State University.
