Allison Ferris is a Research Scientist at BNBI since November 2016, specializing in BSL-3 level biocontainment research with a focus on the characterization of emerging threats and preparedness planning for dangerous pathogens. Prior experience includes serving as an R&D Associate Scientist at MRIGlobal from January 2008 to October 2016, where responsibilities encompassed mobile laboratory operations, microbial screening and identification, next generation sequencing, and assay development. Previously, Allison worked as an Assistant Scientist, managing sample analysis, equipment maintenance, and laboratory operations. Allison Ferris holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of Maryland, completed in 2007.
